CW: Mental illness and poor representation, corpses, gaslighting, abusive behavior, manipulation, anxiety attacks, trauma, PTSD flashbacks, gang violence, guns, knives, shooting, serial killer, emotional manipulation.

We’re riding the rollercoaster again this week as the writer’s room let us right back down again with a pretty meh, if not regular, Riverdale episode. Jughead’s still got our favorite storyline, but somehow prefers a Zippo to phone flashlight. Betty’s got a call coming from inside the house, Archie and Munroe have to protect the kids from Dodger and his crew, and Veronica has to do something so she faces down a serial killer at Pop’s. But by far, the absolute WORST is Cheryl and Toni’s unnecessary, unfulfilling, and frankly offensive portrayal of a “haunting” concocted solely to manipulate Toni to get Cheryl her dead brother’s corpse back. All we can do is try to laugh through the tears this week on The Doghouse!
