Just two weeks ago, your friendly neighborhood co-hosts of The Doghouse were sincerely considering giving up Riverdale for good. The writing was such garbage, and the characters were making such stupid decisions, that we just didn’t know if we had the energy to keep going. And then they pulled this finale out and our whole perspective changed. It’s not great television, but with smart callbacks and story payoffs, solid writing for and incredible acting by the Core Four, and a cliffhanger that legit came out of nowhere to freak all the fans out, this soapy teen trash show managed to pull off a more satisfying finale than certain…other prestige shows that shall not be named.
