Chapter 89: "Reservoir Dogs"
It wasn’t exactly about dog fighting, and that’s a very good thing.

Well, well, well, Riverdale decided they were going to drop a surprisingly good episode of television! Surprising because their trailer suggested that we were going to make dog fighting an actual, real plot point instead of a slightly heavy-handed but ultimately poignant metaphor for trauma. And wow, is there trauma in this episode. Archie’s efforts to get Corporal Jackson some help are starting to become far more personal than he realized, Veronica and Reggie are building the easiest case ever for the SEC, and Betty and Tabitha have an actual, honest-to-god plan to track down some truckers. We won’t mention that little subplot where Cheryl’s just outright homophobic and Kevin’s sucked into a new cult (never, ever change Riverdale writers). We’re diving into “Chapter 89: Reservoir Dogs” this week on The Doghouse.
