As our escape from this show drifts further and further away, we’re entering the real Red Scare as Clifford and Penelope Blossom begin their play for control of the town. Hiram and Hermoine are back for a visit too, along with, and I cannot believe I’m saying this, Geraldine Grundy. Which leads us back to the idea that the first season is replaying itself, in the 1950’s, to happen all over again. Perhaps it’s a setup for a reconciliation of timelines. Perhaps it’s something else entirely. All we know is this is way more fun than a lot of the dreck we had to deal with in between. We discuss “Chapter 130: The Crucible” this week on The Doghouse!
